A Birthday Truth

If I were to deconstruct the chaos in my mind,
To take thoughts out and line them in a queue,
Take a thread, order and place them in a bind,
Unsurprisingly I will find it is you.

On this day, I struggle to give you what you deserve,
Your dreams and the world should be placed at your feet,
But instead, this love for you I care for and preserve,
You cannot understand how you make me complete.

Perhaps a short explanation is in order,
To explain why I so thoroughly adore her.

One, her attractiveness is without compare,
Eyes of such depth I can drown,
And a face at which I cannot help but stare,
Upon your still streaming hair, there must be a Crown.

Two, from your heart flows generosity,
A beauty that is even rarer,
This mix of all the best is a curiosity,
For everyday you grow fairer.

Three, your intelligence is yet another quality,
Brightening every conversation with its wit,
In the presence of your mental prosperity,
Powerless before my laptop I sit.

I can see all that you cannot perceive,
The delight is mine and I treasure it greatly,
Maturity, sweetness and every trait I can conceive,
Reside about you perfectly and serenely.

Sweetheart has now turned twenty and two,
In what she has become, word offer no guide,
Her elegance and beauty still shine true,
So my fate is just by her side.
